Dr. Samantha Soriano-Castañeda has gained the respect and recognition of medical practitioners as one of the very few Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeons in the country. She performs reconstructive surgery every year for a number of patients, most of them with cancer.
At present, she works as an Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon in The Medical City and Rizal Medical Center, where she heads the Department of ENT.
Dr. Castaneda graduated from the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine in Manila. She started her practice in 2000 after finishing her residency in ENT at the Philippine General Hospital. She then became the first and pioneer fellow in Head and Neck Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery, under the tutelage of Dr Alonzo.
Doc Sam is also involved in shaping the lives of a whole new generation of doctors. She is and active member of the faculty of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.
